[UPDATE] on my PC's audio bug/mute sound...
« on: October 21, 2018, 02:34:27 am »

So i recently found out that its not My computer being buggy, its a recent window update being buggy and glitchy that disables sound from some programs. this is a common glitch to some people, and apparently the solution to this was to Roll back the update within the 10 days it relased. windows has this shitty  getup that after 10 days of the new update releases, the option to roll back to the previous update will be deleted, and you wont be able to go back to it ever, at least, not until a new update arrives, to which you can update to that one or stay on this update, but you cant go back to the update before this... at least, that is what these links are saying right now...:

So what does this mean for me? am i just a sitting duck now? do i wait for the new update? surely this cant be it... i wont be able to play for a LONG TIME until a new update comes rolling... what am i gonna do?

Can you try reinstalling windows and not update it? Or does it force current updates on installation? Maybe try other versions of windows or try using an other OS entirely like ubuntu. With ubuntu you could pretty much install everything through the GUI without touching the terminal and if you do there's plenty of guides that'll hold your hand through it. Tf2 and I think all source games run on linux, tf2 runs fairly well too.
